In Memory of Tom BroomheadMike Broomhead is the fastest growing name in talk radio today and rules the afternoon drive time slot from 4-7pm. He is the oldest of 3 boys and raised in Ft. Myers Florida by a single mom. On Memorial Day of 2003 his middle brother Tom (pictured here) was killed in Fallujah Iraq. That day changed his life forever. He began speaking out in support of the troops and was called upon to speak at the largest troop rallys in the country. He has spoken at President Bush's ranch in Crawford Texas and on the National mall in DC. He made many local and national TV and radio appearances to debate the anti-war crowd. He was asked to be the emcee for 2 presidential visits in 2004. The first was attended by over 15,000 people and the other by over 30,000. All of this before his first job in radio. Mike started in 2005 on News Talk 550KFYI as a weekend host. In 2009 he was given the opportunity to do the morning show and in less than a year was promoted to afternoon drive. He uses his business and life experience to address the issues that Arizona citizens face today. Rooted in fiscal and social conservatism, Mike leaves no doubt where he stands on any issue. He fights for the freedoms of Americans, speaks for the blue collar working class heroes and brings the hottest issues of the day to his listeners.

Mike is a strong believer in giving back to the community and volunteers his time for several organizations including A special needs class Marcos de Niza High School; Operation Homefront an organization who cares for the needs of deployed families; The Veterans Medical Leadership Council who supports needs of veterans all over Arizona; and Patriot Day Celebration that benefits Fighter Country Foundation.

Mike is the president of Broomhead Electric, LLC. He still maintains his contractor's license in Arizona.

In addition to radio, Mike is a weightlifter, biker and gun enthusiast. Before radio, Mike was a bull rider and rodeo announcer. Mike is married to his wife Elaine, they have 2 daughters and in September of 2011 they welcomed their first grandchild Thomas, named after Mike's brother.
